Welcome to EV Isle. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the sale and delivery of vehicles, engines, car parts, and accessories (collectively referred to as "Products") from EV Isle to customers in the Caribbean region. By purchasing any product from EV Isle Caribbean, the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions. These policies govern all vehicles, parts, engines, batteries, electronics, and photovoltaic systems purchases and serve as the official guidelines regarding warranties, liabilities, and return policies.

1. General Terms

1.1 Products Offered: EV Isle specializes in sourcing electric and hybrid vehicles, engines, and car parts, both new and used, from licensed and registered suppliers in the UK and other regions. Select low-emission petrol and diesel parts may also be available.

1.2 Eligibility: By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally permitted to enter into a binding contract.

1.3 Order Process: Customers must provide accurate and complete details, including vehicle Make, Model, Year, Fuel Type, and Trim. Where possible, a part number should also be included to ensure correct sourcing.

1.4 Wholesale/Retail Orders: Orders can be placed for wholesale or retail purposes. Ensure this is clearly indicated when submitting your request.

1.5 Inventory Updates: Our inventory is updated monthly. If a specific part is unavailable, we will notify you promptly and provide alternative options where feasible.

2. Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Motors, Parts & Engine Purchase Terms

2.1 EV Isle Caribbean provides the sourcing, supply and shipment of hybrid and electric vehicle motors, engines, batteries, components and replacement parts under the following conditions:

All special order parts are purchased at the customer's request and are ordered based solely on the vehicle information, part numbers, VIN, or specifications supplied by the customer.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate before an order is placed.
Once a special order has been confirmed and purchased, the order cannot be cancelled, exchanged or refunded.
EV Isle Caribbean does not provide warranties, guarantees, exchanges or returns on special order, used, refurbished, reconditioned or non-stock parts unless expressly stated in writing.
EV Isle Caribbean acts as a sourcing and procurement service and can arrange the purchase, supply and shipment of genuine, aftermarket, used or refurbished components from third-party suppliers.
EV Isle Caribbean accepts no liability for incorrect parts ordered due to inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer, including incorrect VIN numbers, chassis numbers, model years, trim levels, engine codes or part numbers.
Availability of parts is subject to supplier inventory and may change without notice.

2.2 Engine Purchase Terms

The purchase of an internal combustion engine is limited to the following components only:

Engine block
Crankcase
Crankshaft

Unless specifically stated in writing, the sale does not include or guarantee the condition, functionality or compatibility of ancillary components including but not limited to:

Turbochargers
Fuel injectors
Alternators
Starter motors
Wiring harnesses
Sensors
ECU modules
Intake or exhaust manifolds
Water pumps
Oil pumps
Air conditioning compressors
Fuel systems
Any attached accessories

Engines may differ in design, specification and equipment depending on model year, trim level, country of manufacture or production batch. EV Isle Caribbean cannot guarantee that supplied engines will include identical ancillary components or accessories.

2.3 Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Motors and Components

The purchase of electric drive motors, hybrid drive units, transaxles, battery packs, inverters, converters and other EV or hybrid components is subject to the following conditions:

Unless specifically stated otherwise, electric motors and drive units are sold as complete assemblies only.
High-voltage batteries, Battery Management Systems (BMS), inverters, DC-DC converters, charging modules and electronic control units are supplied subject to supplier testing and availability.
Due to manufacturer software programming, VIN coding and vehicle-specific calibration, compatibility cannot be guaranteed without confirmation from the vehicle manufacturer or a qualified technician.
Customers are responsible for confirming compatibility prior to installation.
EV Isle Caribbean accepts no responsibility for software coding, programming, calibration or commissioning required after installation.
Used or refurbished hybrid and EV components may show normal signs of use and cosmetic wear and are sold accordingly.

2.4 Warranty and Liability

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

New parts are covered only by the manufacturer's warranty where applicable.
Used, refurbished and reconditioned parts are supplied without warranty unless specifically stated at the time of sale.
Where a warranty is offered on an engine, it applies only to the engine block, crankcase and crankshaft against internal mechanical failure for a period of ninety (90) days.
Any ancillary parts supplied with an engine or motor are provided on an "as-is" basis and are not covered under warranty.
EV Isle Caribbean shall not be liable for labour costs, installation costs, diagnostic charges, towing, loss of income, rental vehicle expenses or any indirect or consequential damages arising from the installation or use of supplied parts.
All warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval before any replacement or reimbursement is considered.

2.5 Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

Special order parts are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable.
Used and refurbished parts are non-returnable except where covered by an express written warranty.
Engine sales are final unless a defect covered under the applicable warranty is confirmed.
Warranty claims must be submitted within the applicable warranty period together with proof of purchase and supporting documentation.
Returned items must not have been dismantled, modified or improperly installed.
The customer is responsible for all shipping, freight, customs duties and handling charges associated with warranty returns unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Refunds or replacements will be issued only after inspection confirms that the component qualifies under the applicable warranty.

2.6 Inspection Before Installation

Customers must inspect all engines, motors and parts immediately upon delivery.

No warranty shall apply where:

The part has been installed before inspection.
The part has been modified or disassembled.
Installation has been carried out contrary to manufacturer recommendations.
Damage results from improper installation, misuse, overheating, lack of lubrication, contamination or accident.

3. New and Used Parts Purchase Terms

3.1 EV Isle Caribbean offers both new and used parts for purchase under the following conditions:

New parts come with a 30 day warranty against manufacturing defects. Any claims must be made within the warranty period with valid proof of defect.
Used parts are sold as-is with no warranty unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
Parts may vary based on vehicle trim level, batch number, and country and plant of manufacture and assembly. As a result EV Isle Caribbean does not guarantee compatibility.
Customers must verify compatibility before purchase as EV Isle Caribbean is not responsible for incorrect parts ordered.

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1 Pricing: Prices will be provided in a formal quotation following your request. All prices are listed in GBP, USD or BDS unless otherwise stated and include applicable taxes, shipping fees, and import duties where relevant.

4.2 Payment Terms:

A deposit of 60% is required for all vehicle and large part orders.
Full payment must be received before shipping.
Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other agreed-upon methods.
All fees quotes will be subject to any additional taxes and exchange taxes, charges required by governments, and or the country of purchase and final ports of entry.

4.3 Late Payments: Late payments may result in order delays. Unpaid balances exceeding 30 days will result in cancellation of the order and forfeiture of the deposit.

5. Shipping and Delivery

5.1 Shipping Details for vehicles: Shipping routes, cargo numbers, and delivery timelines will be documented in your invoice. Delivery times may vary depending on availability and shipping conditions.

5.2 Customs and Import Duties: EV Isle will manage customs clearance. Additional charges or taxes levied by local authorities are the customer's responsibility. For Customs & Excise, EV Isle Caribbean acts as the agent on behalf of the customer and is not responsible for any fees quoted by our brokers, the Barbados Port Authority and or the Customs and Excise Department of Barbados. All service fees of EV Isle Caribbean are noted separately by the company and are not associated with the fees proved by our brokers. All shipments and cargo are received by the Barbados Port Authority and are regulated by the Barbados Port Authority.

5.3 Fees quoted for landing, customs, clearance & duties are provided by our broker and are not fixed or guaranteed. Fees are subject to change without prior notice under the final authority of the Comptroller of Customs. Clearance fees are regulated by, and are subject to the final authority of the Comptroller of Customs of Barbados and the Barbados Port Authority. Brokerage estimates are valid for only 30 days and are not binding, and are subject to change within the period. Please note, EV Isle Caribbean does not accept liability for cargo handling within the Barbados Port Authority, storage, or any related additional charges, as this is beyond our jurisdiction.

5.4 Delivery Inspection: Customers must inspect all Products upon delivery. Any damage or discrepancy must be reported to EV Isle within 48 hours of receipt.

5.5 Risk of Loss: Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon delivery to the designated shipping address.

6. Returns and Refunds

6.1 Eligibility: Returns are accepted for faulty or incorrect Products. The item must be unused, in its original condition, and returned within 14 days of delivery.

6.2 Non-Returnable Items: Custom or special-order parts and engines are non-returnable unless proven defective.

6.3 Refund Process: Approved returns will be processed within 14 business days of receiving the returned Product. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

6.4 Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs and all related fees are the customer's responsibility unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.

7. Warranty

7.1 Coverage:

New vehicles: 3-year warranty or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Used vehicles: Limited 1-year warranty or 12,000 miles.
Parts and accessories: 6-month warranty for manufacturing defects.

7.2 Exclusions: Warranties do not cover:

Normal wear and tear.
Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or accidents.
Modifications or repairs made by unauthorized persons.

7.3 Claim Process: Warranty claims must be submitted with proof of purchase and a detailed description of the issue. EV Isle reserves the right to inspect the Product and determine the validity of the claim.

7.4 For special orders (of vehicle and parts), where EV Isle Caribbean acts as the agent on behalf of the customer, warranties and coverage remain with the supplier which the customer has chosen. Warranties and coverage from EV Isle Caribbean only apply to vehicles soured from our stock and does not apply to special order vehicles and or parts.

8. Liability

8.1 EV Isle is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our Products.

8.2 EV Isle reserves the right to refuse refund or exchange on parts or engines supplied or sourced using incorrect information supplied by the customer to source said product.

8.3 Our total liability is limited to the value of the Product purchased.

8.4 All special-order vehicles and products are procured strictly upon the customer’s request. Once confirmed, special orders cannot be cancelled, refunded, or exchanged.

8.5 Estimated delivery times for special-order vehicles and products are provided in good faith but are subject to delays beyond the control of EV Isle Caribbean. The company shall not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or cost arising from such delays.

8.6 EV Isle Caribbean shall not be held liable for any loss or damage incurred in relation to special-order vehicles or products during acquisition, storage, or transport. EV Isle Caribbean acts solely as an agent on behalf of the customer and is responsible only for facilitating and ensuring the completion of transactions related to the special order.

8.7 Risk and responsibility for the vehicle or product transfer to the customer immediately upon completion of the purchase transaction, including where EV Isle Caribbean has arranged transport or third-party logistics on the customer’s behalf.

8.8 Any warranties, guarantees, or manufacturer obligations associated with special-order vehicles or products remain solely with the original manufacturer or supplier. EV Isle Caribbean does not provide additional warranties beyond those expressly stated in writing.

9. Force Majeure

9.1 EV Isle is not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, shipping disruptions, or regulatory changes.

10. Governing Law

10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom and of Barbados. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the United Kingdom and or Barbados.

11. Legal Terms

11.1 Use of Imagery and Copyright Protection

All images, videos, and branding materials used by EV Isle Caribbean are protected by copyright law.
Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification of any content belonging to EV Isle Caribbean is strictly prohibited.
Customers and third parties may not use EV Isle Caribbean’s imagery for commercial purposes without written consent.

11.2 Pricing, Fairness, and Equity

EV Isle Caribbean reserves the right to modify pricing at any time without prior notice.
Pricing is determined based on factors such as supply chain costs, import duties, and industry standards to ensure fairness.
EV Isle Caribbean is committed to fair and equitable treatment of all customers, regardless of location or economic status.

11.3 Anti-Discrimination Policy

EV Isle Caribbean does not engage in or tolerate discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, nationality, age, disability, or any other protected status.
Customers and employees are expected to uphold these principles in all interactions.
Any reports of discriminatory behavior within the company or among customers will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately.
